Maharaja’s cup has been
unique in many ways, first for its distance 2200 meters. And then for the
terms.
Calcutta Sensation Patrick
Quinn trained Ocean And Beyond was the market fancy, Pesi Shroff
trained Hemisphere next in demand. When gates were open as every body thought,
back to back derby winner Borsalino took the running with a decent pace. Contrary
to its running style Mumbai pro Zervan astride Hemisphere took his mount with the front bunch just behind
front running Borsalino. Spearhead, Ocean And Beyond fallowing closely. At 1200
mtrs mark Borsalino upped the pace, Zervan astride Hemisphere don’t want to
lose the sight of front runner alerted his mount, Ocean And Beyond at a striking
distance in third. Borsalino brought the field into home stretch Hemisphere breathing
fire at his neck took over the running, At this point Zarvan took his time in
gathering his mount and making his final bid. This has given Ocean And Beyond a
chance to cover less distance, even though Ocean And Beyond was at a striking
position when his jockey asked for a forward surge it took its own time to respond, less
than three lengths to cover responded well in time to pip Hemisphere at all important
end.
Congratulations to Trainer Patrick Qwinn,
Owners RKW & co and finally jockey suraj for his brave finishing effort.
Congratulations to you for tipping straight tanala.
